Money robbed from Crawley convenience store

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a large sum of money from a Crawley store.

A man entered McColls in Ifield Parade, Crawley, around 6.15am on Saturday (May 25) and verbally threatened the staff with violence.

Staff handed over a quantity of money and the suspect fled from the premises. The suspect was white, around 6’ 4”, with a Northern accent and wearing a blue hooded top and a chequered scarf across his face.

Officers attended the scene and conducted an area search but the suspect was not found.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or saw a man matching the description is asked to report information online or by calling 101 quoting 275 of 25/05.
